Here’s a sneak peak inside my make-up bag.
I have a very pale English skin tone with naturally blonde hair so it;s often difficult to find bases and colours to suit me, but here are a few of my favourites:
Make-Up Revolution Palette in Iconic 3. I love these colours, and apparently its a great copy of an Urban Decay palette.
Collection Eyes Uncovered Palette in Nude Bronze. Doesn’t last all that well, but lots of lovely muted colours.
Pop Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in Peach Parfait. Dense coverage and lasts well all day.
Revlon Highlighter Palette, swept onto the cheeks makes me glow. 020 Rose Glow.
Bourjois Cream Blush in Nude Velvet. Cream to Powder and a light natural finish.
Loreal Lumi Magique in 1 Light. Light reflecting concealer, great for acne, scars and exhausted eyes.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 52 Vanille. I didn’t wear foundation for years, but chronic illness requires a mask, and this looks 100% natural.
Clinique Chubby Stick in 07 Super Strawberry – a glossy lip balm with a dash of colour.
Bourjois Colour Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick in 04 Peach on the Beach, claims to last up to 10 hours, I’ve found it lasts a good couple, which is good for me.
Benefit and Becca highighters, brighten my eye area on really bad days.
Model Co lipliner in nude. This is great as the lid is a sharpener too.
Lancome Hypnose mascara – a true mascara heor. This one is just a sample, the real packaging is far more fabulous!
Revlon eyeshadows in Pearl, a beautiful lilac shade, and a lovely pale pink.
MUA pressed powder in shade 1. Cheap and cheerful, and does a great job!
Body Shop brushes are soft and do the job perfectly.
And here’s one I don’t really like, and I feel should be far better for the money:
Benefit They’re Real mascara – it transfers onto my brow bone and leaves inky smudges, even on cold days. Not impressed!!
So there you have it for now, these are the tools used to make me look semi-human again, and I think they work quite well.
What are your experiences with these products?
As always, I love hearing from you so pop by and say hello!
